Parenting help in NC and SC:

Parenting is the single hardest job most of us will ever take on. If you’re feeling overwhelmed and/or uncertain of how to best support your kid with ADHD, autism, PDA, anxiety, or some other form of neurodivergence, you’ve landed in the right place. I’ve been working with kids and parents since 1994. I’ve also helped to raise 3 myself. I’ve made it my mission to learn everything I can about how to support kids and families, and I’m here to help.

How it works:

We’ll connect every week over a secure, HIPPA compliant virtual platform. It’s best if both parents can be present. That reduces friction about what was said and what I meant, how to implement ideas, etc. I start out learning all I can about your family. I read any evaluations or reports you might have about your child and ask you a lot of questions. I then help you generate very concrete, specific strategies you can use today in problematic interactions with your child. As we move forward, I’ll include more general ides you can use long-term, but we start by eliminating the biggest stressors first.

Fees and insurance

My fee for parent therapy is $185 an hour. I do not contract with insurance companies directly due to their ongoing efforts to control what therapists can do and what is considered a problem. I do use the company Mentaya to help you file claims on your own. If you have out of network benefits on your insurance plan, you can usually get at least some of your investment back. I can also accept HSA cards.
