Therapy for Improving Attachment and Self-regulation

This workshop will focus on the process of healthy human attachment, and what can happen when that process is interrupted by trauma. The ability to regulate one’s emotions and actions is a key element of healthy attachment, and when attachment is interrupted, self-regulation often does not evolve completely. Incomplete attachments can lead people to exhibit overactive, distracted, or emotionally labile behaviors.

This workshop will include information about the attachment process and will introduce techniques for therapists to help clients improve self-regulation and repair broken attachments.
